What is Construction Litigation?

Construction litigation involves disputes which may arise out of building contracts, design contracts, and similar agreements which concern commercial, industrial and/or residential construction.

Examples:  A homeowner hires a general contractor and/or a company to perform a building project and the builder fails to build the home properly. This may lean to a lawsuit or litigation. Typically, if the home is new construction then the new home warranty act shall apply.

Another example may involve a construction project which has been built but later experiences mold growth, moisture intrusion and/or termite infestation. These events may also lead to a lawsuit or litigation.

Yet another example may involve a builder that fails to build a facility according to the design specifications. This likewise may lead to a lawsuit or litigation.
